Do Trisomy 18 Babies Suffer?

After the Eastenders episode aired last night, we have seen a lot of conversation around it. One topic that has been showing up is the point that ‘Edwards babies are destined to suffer and ultimately die’.

We’d like to invite a healthy discussion around this in the comments, as many parents will choose to proceed with the pregnancy, and there are children, and even adults with Edwards, who lead incredible lives, regardless how short, or long they may be.

Please share your experience, what options were you given, what considerations did you have to make?
